What Our Clients Say About Us
I recommend VOM to anyone coming out of prison

While still incarcerated, I attended the Vision on Mission in-prison preparation for release programme through a recommendation of a fellow inmate. I enjoyed the programme so much I wanted to know when they would return. I walked in to Vision on Mission once I was released, seeking assistance with employment, and I must say they were REALLY helpful-all the Staff. I am working now, receiving an honest check and it is all because of Vision on Mission. I recommend VOM to anyone coming out of prison trying to get back on their feet. They are there for “us”.
They have offered me a second chance to start over

I was really impressed with the preparation for release programme that Vision on Mission conducted while I was in prison as they reached out to “us” in a way that only “us” could have understood. When I was released I came to Vision on Mission within a week and I was totally blown away with the compassion and realness of all the staff. I felt treated better than even my own family. When I came in I was so depressed, but after talking to one of the caseworkers at Vision on Mission and through their encouragement and upliftment I was able to deal with all the problems I was currently facing at home. Vision on Mission has helped me mentally, psychologically, and financially and I will always refer anyone to them as they offer me and others a second chance to start over.
VOM’s Employment and Money Management programmes have helped me tremendously

I have been in and out of many institutions with no success, before coming to Vision on Mission. My turning point was when I was left homeless after being kicked out of one of the institutions and thought about entering the Reintegration programme at Vision on Mission that I always heard about in prison. I was accepted and was able to take part in their Employment and Money Management programmes which have helped me tremendously. I now feel a sense of hope, confidence, and trust being at Vision on Mission.
VOM in-prison pre-release programme has really helped me

Vision on Mission in-prison preparation for release programme has really helped me on a spiritual level. They have helped me come to the realization of what I would face upon release from prison and that there was help available. As soon as I was released from prison, I came to Vision on Mission where I was fortunate enough to receive financial assistance, counselling from their Caseworkers, and now they are assisting me in finding employment. From my experience, I only have good things to say about them.
I have been steered on the right path of life

Being in the Vision on Mission program I have learned so much about myself. It has been for me, a program where if you want the help, you recognize your need to change, and you are persistent, it will work for you. Before I partook in Vision on Mission’s rehabilitative services, I used to be a heavy drug user, but since going through the program I have acquired a “peace of mind” and have been steered on the right path of life where I no longer utilize any sort of drug. Within the next year, I intend to be fully independent and making my mark in the field of agriculture.
I will always have a LOVE for Vision on Mission

I was socially displaced when I first heard of Vision on Mission and was fortunate to have been accepted into the in-transit facility in Champs Fleur by Mr. Wayne Chance. I have learned patience, humility, discipline, and the practice of saving while participating in their Programme. Now gainfully employed, I still take these attributes with me wherever I go, focusing on my needs and not my wants as the Staff has instilled in me. The programme was very beneficial to me and I will always have a LOVE for Vision on Mission.
My behaviour and thinking have changed

I have been in the Vision on Mission Diversion program since January 2018. Being in this program has allowed me to utilize the accommodation and employment services of Vision on Mission by removing me from my old neighborhood and destructive environment that I was once in, prior to my incarceration. I was also able to retain employment through VOM. My behavior and thinking has changed tremendously as I now have learned to be aware of my actions, my thinking, and the words that come out of my mouth. Within the next few months as I exit the program, I intend to get into the fields of barbering and electrical work.
